La Terrasse is a two bedroom gite situated on a quiet side lane on the outskirts of the medieval village of St Gengoux. To the front of the property is a south facing terrace, ideal for catching the sun, while to the rear is a large shady terrace, there is plenty of on street parking next to the gite.

Downstairs comprises a spacious open plan kitchen / living room, and a twin bedroom with en suite shower room, while upstairs there is a large double bedroom with en suite shower room.

The bright kitchen area is very well equipped with electric hob and oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher and has access directly onto the front terrace. The living area has ample soft seating with a TV / DVD, music system and wood-burning stove. Both terraces have dining tables and chairs with the larger terrace also having sun loungers and a barbecue.

La Terrasse has recently been renovated, to provide a high standard of accommodation throughout, while retaining the charm and character of the original stone cottage.

The property is only a few minutes walk from the centre of St Gengoux, which has many shops, bars and restaurants. There is a large bustling market every other Tuesday morning and a welcoming wine cooperative. The voie vert, rural cycle route, runs through St Gengoux and bikes can be hired at either the old station or tourist information office.

The countryside surrounding St Gengoux has gentle hills landscaped with vines and sunflowers, and there are numerous marked walks of all lengths starting from the village.   

St Gengoux is in the heart of Southern Burgundy less than 20 minutes' drive from the A6 at Chalon sur Saône.
